Humana and Express Scripts are the Commonwealth’s partners for next year’s healthcare benefits. That’s great news for you and your family. You’ll have a choice of four medical plans, as well as many additional features and services at no extra charge.

 

Important: Please supply information about other coverage. If your plan covers more than one person, you’ll receive an automated call from Humana in January about coverage through another health plan. We need this information before we can process your claims. Read more.


Extra features at no cost to you

No matter what plan you choose, you get these extra features and services from Humana — at no extra charge:

  • Nationwide network of providers with the Humana/ChoiceCare Network PPO®
  • Answers to your questions: 1-877-KYSPIRIT (1-877-597-7474)
  • Access to MyHumana, where you can:
    • Look up participating providers
    • Manage your Flexible Spending Account (FSA) or Health Reimbursment Account (HRA) funds
    • Review your plan benefits
    • View your medical claims
    • Find health and wellness information
    • Access to the Compare Hospitals tool, which evaluates hospitals in certain areas side by side based on outcomes for certain procedures, estimated costs, and other important factors 
    • Access the Health Risk Assessment tool
      To access the Health Assessment tool, log in to MyHumana and click the Take Your Health Assessment link in the Health Resources section
       
  • Humana ID card
  • HumanaAccessSM Visa® Debit card. The HumanaAccess card will be sent to members who elect an FSA or HRA account
    • Make sure to activate the card and sign it right away
    • Even though the card says "debit" on the front, it works like a credit card, so it doesn't have a PIN. Just select "credit" (not "debit"), sign for your purchase, and save your receipt
    • For members who have medical coverage and a Health Reimbursement Account (HRA) or Flexible Spending Account (FSA), you can use your HumanaAccess card for eligible expenses at any healthcare location that accepts Visa debit cards. Members who have an HRA but waive medical coverage can also use the card at healthcare locations that accept Visa, including in-network pharmacies. To view a complete list of in-network pharmacies, refer to the “Spending Account Secondary Payer Pharmacy Network” list in the Forms/Reference section on the left navigation bar.
  • Wellness and disease management programs to help manage your health
  • ActiveHealth Management uses technology to enable you and your doctors to make better healthcare decisions. The CareEngine® System compares medical, pharmacy and lab claims against the latest medical research. The system continuously scans for opportunities to improve care, and when one is found, it is communicated to you and your doctors. This information is provided to help you and your doctors make the best decisions and develop a plan of care that is right for you.
  • Members with diabetes, asthma and other common conditions have access to a registered nurse who acts as a personal health coach. You can work with a nurse to learn more about your condition and set goals to improve your health. Members who are pregnant also have access to a nurse who is there to offer support throughout the pregnancy to help keep mother and baby healthy. Services are also available that can help you make informed decisions about any complex situations you may encounter in your health, and help you navigate the health system to get the best care.
  • A new weight management program is now available at no cost to qualified members. If you’re overweight or obese and ready to improve your health by managing your weight, we’ll help you get started. A registered nurse works with you to offer support and education, discuss healthy eating, identify Internet weight-loss resources, and more. Take advantage of this confidential and valuable program. Take control, lose weight, and feel better!
