Humana Health Plans – Easy to Use

Employees of the School Board of Broward County, welcome to Humana. Whether you’ve been with us before or you’re a new member, we’re delighted to provide your health coverage. We appreciate your business and your trust.

For the 2008 plan year, you have a choice of four Humana plans, based on your eligibility. Here’s a brief look at each:

• The High Option and Low Option Humana Open Access HMO plans:
  Allow you to see any in-network doctor without a referral or without selecting a primary care doctor
  
  
• The PPO plan:
  Allows you to choose any doctor, in-network or out-of-network. Your out-of-pocket cost will be less when you choose an in-network doctor from Humana’s extensive network in South Florida.
  
  
• The Consumer-Driven Plan (CoverageFirst® PPO):
  Combines cost-saving incentives with freedom of choice and an annual benefit allowance. When you see in-network providers, you receive the highest level of benefits available under your plan and you keep the freedom to see any doctor.
